DILL PICKLES 
1 tsp. dill seed
1 dill bud
1 1/2 qt. water
1 qt. vinegar
Jars
2 garlic pods
Cucumbers
1/2 c. salt
1 onion

Sterilize the jars and put cucumbers; sliced, into the jars. Cut onion into small rings and place in with pickles and add seasonings. Bring water, salt and vinegar to a rolling boil. Pour hot mixture over cucumbers and seal jars tight.
