WALNUT MALLOW DROPS 
1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. softened butter
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 lg. egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. quick-cooking oats
1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
1/2 c. miniature marshmallows

Resift flour with baking powder and salt. Cream butter with sugars, egg and vanilla. Mix will appear curdled. Stir in flour mixture, oats, walnuts and marshmallows. Chill for 1 hour. Grease cookie sheet, dust with flour, shake off excess. Drop by slightly rounded tablespoons onto sheet, 2 1/2 inch apart to allow for spreading.

Bake above oven center at 375 degrees for 10 minutes until edges brown very lightly. Remove from oven and let stand 1 minutes. Using a broad spatula, carefully remove to wire rack to cool. Makes 3 dozen cookies, about 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
