SWEET POTATO BISCUITS | |
1 c. all-purpose flour 2 tbsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. milk 2 tbsp. sugar 1/3 c. shortening 1 c. cooked, mashed sweet potatoes Dash of vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon Season sweet potatoes with a little butter, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and cut in shortening. Add sweet potatoes. Sprinkle milk over flour mixture. Stir until moistened. Turn dough onto heavily floured surface; pat to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut out biscuits; place on baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. |
