BUTTERMILK CAKE 
1 c. shortening
3 c. white sugar
5 eggs (I substitute 1 1/4 c. Eggbeaters)
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter flavor (optional)
1+ tbsp. almond flavoring

Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees, more depending on individual oven. I use a bundt pan sprayed with Pam.
