BOW TIES WITH BACON AND TOMATO
SAUCE

1 can tomato sauce
6 slices bacon, diced
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (16 oz.) pkg. bow ties
1/4 c. heavy whip cream
1 tbsp. chopped parsley

About 40 minutes before serving:

In 12" skillet or 4 quart saucepan over medium heat, cook bacon until browned, remove bacon and pour off all but 2 tablespoons of the grease. In the pan cook onion until tender. Add tomatoes with their liquid, sugar, salt and pepper, stirring to break up tomatoes; over high heat, heat to boiling. Reduce to low, cover and simmer 15 minutes to blend flavors. Cook bow ties as directed, drain. When macaroni is done, add the cream and parsley to the tomato mixture and heat.

To serve, place pasta in large, deep platter. Spoon sauce over pasta and sprinkle with bacon. Toss to serve. Makes 6 servings.
