APRICOT-PRUNE CAKE 
1 c. cooking oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 sm. jar apricot baby food
1 sm. jar plum or prune
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. plain flour, sifted
1 c. nuts (opt.)
Wesson or Mazola oil

Sift dry ingredients. Beat eggs; add sugar then oil. Add baby food. Mix nuts and dry ingredients. (If nuts are desired.) Butter and flour a sheet or tube cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done. Sift powdered sugar over cake when cooled or use this glaze: 1/4 cup rum, 1/4 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 1 stick butter; boil 2 or 3 minutes. Pour over cake while still hot. Let set in pan for 30 minutes.
