CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE | |
1 (15 oz.) pkg. Pillsbury All-Ready pie crust 3 eggs, slightly beaten 1 c. light or dark corn syrup 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted 2 tbsp. butter, melted 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. pecans Prepare pie crust according to package directions for "filled" one-crust pie, using 9-inch pie pan. Flute as desired. In medium bowl (I use wire whisk), stir eggs (1 at a time), corn syrup, sugar, chocolate, butter and vanilla until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into pie crust-lined pan. Bake in 350°F oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Makes 1 (9-inch) pie. I usually double it all and cook 2 since pie crusts comes in twos, then you can share with a neighbor or co-workers but cook 1 at a time. Number of Servings: Varies...according to the size of slices. Preparation Time: About 1 1/2 hours total time. |
