SAUSAGE SUPPER | |
4 slices bacon, cut in 1 inch pieces 2 lg. carrots, sliced 1 lb. sm. red potatoes, thinly sliced 3 c. fresh broccoli, cut in 2 inch pieces 1/2 med. onion, sliced 1/4 tsp. marjoram Salt & pepper to taste 1 lb. Polish sausage, cut in 1/2 inch slices 1/2 c. water Cook bacon in Dutch oven until crisp and drain on paper towel. Pour out all but 1 or 2 tablespoons of grease. Add vegetables and seasonings to pan. Cook over medium heat 5 to 10 minutes, tossing frequently. Add sausage and water. Cover and cook over low heat or until potatoes are tender, 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Crumble bacon on top and serve. Serves 4 to 6. |
