TASTY TACO SALAD 
1 lb. ground beef
1 (1 1/4 oz.) env. taco seasoning mix
1/2 c. water
1 (10 oz.) pkg. tortilla chips
1 sm. head lettuce, torn
2 1/2 c. (10 oz.) shredded longhorn cheese
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
2 med. tomatoes, diced
1 sm. purple onion, chopped
Commercial spicy red salad dressing

Cook beef in large skillet until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain. Add taco seasoning and water, simmer 10 minutes, cool slightly.

In a large bowl, layer half each of tortilla chips, meat mixture, lettuce, cheese, kidney beans, tomatoes and onion. Repeat layers. Serve immediately with spicy red salad dressing. Serves 6-8.
