TASTY TACO SALAD 
1 lb. ground beef
1 (1 1/4 oz.) env. taco seasoning mix
1/2 c. water
10 oz. pkg. tortilla chips
1 sm. head lettuce, torn
2 1/2 c. (10 pz.) shredded Longhorn cheese
15 1/2 oz. can kidney beans, drained
2 med. tomatoes, diced
1 sm. purple onion, chopped
Commercial spicy red salad dressing

Cook beef in large skillet until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain. Add taco seasoning and water; simmer 10 minutes. Cool slightly. In large bowl, layer half each of tortilla chips, meat mixture, lettuce, cheese, kidney beans, tomatoes and onion. Repeat layers. Serve immediately with spicy red salad dressing.
