GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
2 c. sugar 1 c. Crisco oil 1 c. buttermilk 4 eggs 1 1/2 c. flour 1 pkg. German sweet chocolate 1 tsp. vanilla Dissolve chocolate in 1/2 cup boiling water. Beat together sugar, flour, oil and buttermilk. Add chocolate and mix well. Add eggs and vanilla, beat at high speed. Batter will be thin. Bake in 3 (9") greased and floured pans at 325 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. FROSTING: 1 c. coconut 1 lg. can Pet milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 stick butter 1/2 c. nuts, chopped 3 egg yolks 1 c. sugar Combine all ingredients and cook until thick. Remove from heat and add small can crushed pineapple. |
