FRENCH STEW 
1 lb. beef cubes
1 pkg. beefy-onion soup mix (Lipton's)
2 cut up carrots
2 to 3 cut up potatoes
Mushrooms
Pearl onions
1 c. wine
1 to 2 c. shell macaroni

Brown beef in bottom of pot and drain. Prepare soup mix by directions on box. Add vegetables and wine. Bring to boil; add macaroni. Let boil until macaroni has cooked. Simmer for 1/2 hour. Turn heat off and add mushroom soup. Blend in completely.

Variation: Leave out macaroni and serve over rice.
