BEEF STROGANOFF | |
2 lbs. beef for stew 1 tbsp. oil 1 env. brown gravy mix 1 tbsp. minced onions 2 tbsp. white vinegar 2 c. water 1 pkg. egg noodles 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. ginger 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 bay leaf Cut meat into 1 inch squares. In a large skillet, brown meat on all sides in oil. Remove meat from skillet; add gravy mix and water. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Stir in remaining ingredients (except noodles). Return meat to skillet, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Serve over hot noodles. (Serves 4-6.) |
