1 1/2 GALLONS HOMEMADE ICE CREAM 
4 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 pt. half and half
1 can evaporated milk
2 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 gallon 3.5% milk

Beat eggs until light. Add sugar, gradually beating until thick. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour into freezer can. Fill can only 2/3 full. Adjust dasher and cover.

Pack crushed ice and rock salt around can using 6 parts ice to 1 part salt. Crank slowly until ice melts. Add more ice and salt. Turn until crank turns hard.
