ANNIE ROONEY SAUSAGE BISCUITS 
1/2 c. ground pork sausage
4 tsp. baking powder
4 tbsp. butter
2 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt

Mix and sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add milk. Roll to 1/3 inch thickness. Cut with cutter and crease in middle with dull knife. Place heaping teaspoon sausage in each biscuit and turn the other half over. Bake 20 minutes in hot oven. With fried apples, this is dandy "before bed" snack.
