OYSTER DRESSING 
5 to 6 c. breadcrumbs
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cold water to moisten
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. sage
1/2 to 1 pt. oysters

Combine all ingredients and blend thoroughly. Pour into greased 3 quart casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
