5 slices bread, pulled apart
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Brown 'n Serve sausage links, cut into thirds
1 (4 oz.) c. shredded cheddar cheese
5 eggs, beaten slightly
2 c. milk

Place bread pieces on the bottom of a buttered 1 1/2 quart shallow baking dish. Place sausage on top of bread and sprinkle with cheese.

Combine eggs and milk. Pour over cheese. Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 50 to 55 minutes. (Can be made the night before - cover and refrigerate overnight and bake slightly longer.) Two cups chopped ham can be used in place of sausage.
