WILMA'S POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter (room temperature)
1/2 c. Crisco (room temperature)
3 c. sugar
5 eggs (room temperature)
4 tsp. vanilla flavoring
4 tsp. almond or lemon flavoring
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Cream butter and Crisco. Add sugar, and cream with butter/Crisco mixture. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flavorings. Add flour mixture and milk alternately, beginning and ending with flour. Put cake in cold oven. Bake at 325 degrees (in tube pan) for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until done.
