OATMEAL BREAD 
1 c. quick oats
1/2 c. wheat flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
2 c. boiling water
1 pkg. (1 tbsp.) yeast
1/2 c. warm water
5 c. white flour

Combine first 5 ingredients in large bowl and pour boiling water over. Stir. Dissolve yeast in warm water. When batter is lukewarm, add yeast and stir in flour. When dough is stiff enough to handle, turn out and knead 5 to 10 minutes. Let rise, covered, until doubled. Punch down and rise again. Punch down and shape into 2 loaves, place in greased pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Brush with butter for a soft crust. Makes great toast!
