OATMEAL BREAD 
1 c. quick oats
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
2 c. boiling water
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
5 c. white flour

Combine first 5 ingredients in large bowl. Add 2 cups boiling water. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. When batter is cooled to lukewarm, add the yeast. Stir in white flour. When dough is stiff enough to handle, turn onto floured board and knead 5 to 10 minutes. Let rise until double. Punch down; let rise again. Shape into 2 loaves. Place in greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool on rack, brushing with butter.
