SUKIYAKI 
1 med. onion, thinly sliced
1/4 c. butter
1 lb. beef sirloin, cut in thin strips
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 lb. mushrooms, thinly sliced
8 oz. can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
1/2 c. celery strips
7 oz. 7-Up
1 beef bouillon cube
2 tsp. soy sauce
16 oz. can bean sprouts, drained and sliced
4 2/3 oz. can bamboo shoots, drained

In a large skillet, saute onion in butter until transparent. Sprinkle beef with salt and pepper. Add to onion and cook unitl delicately browned on all sides. Add vegetables and cook gently for about 5 minutes.

In a saucepan combine the 7-Up and bouillon cube. Heat to boiling, stirring until bouillon cube dissolves. Add soy sauce. Pour bouillon mixture into skillet with beef. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and let simmer for about 5 minutes. (Do not overcook.)
