FRIED CABBAGE 
1 yellow onion
2 lg. cloves garlic
1/2 lb. bacon ends
Black pepper
1 lg. head green cabbage

Mince garlic and slice and cut in half large onion; set aside. Brown bacon in skillet thoroughly; remove and set aside.

Stir onion and garlic in bacon drippings; stir until sauteed or done a little more done. Wash core and quarter and slice 1/2 inch or so cabbage. Stir in with onion and garlic in medium hot bacon drippings at least 1/8 inch or so in pan. Stir in black pepper. Stir thoroughly. Reduce heat to low; simmer. Cook until tender, 20 minutes or so. Use bacon drippings more or less.
