MAPLE CANDY (OLD-TIME) | |
4 c. brown sugar 1 c. rich milk or cream Butter size of egg 2 tbsp. vanilla 1 tsp. maple flavoring (optional) 2 c. chopped nuts Mix sugar and milk, let sugar and milk boil 5 minutes. Add butter. When melted take off heat, add vanilla and nuts. Beat well until the bubbles have disappeared. Pour into greased pans. When cool cut in squares. Very good. |
