GRANDMA'S FRITTERS 
1 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar (for fruit fritters)
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
2 tsp. lemon juice (very important)

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. For fruit fritters sift in sugar too. Add beaten eggs, milk, and lemon juice. Beat all.

Fry slowly in fat. Turn when bubbly on one side and golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.

Great for apples, leftover oatmeal, corn, etc.
