DIRTY RICE DRESSING 
2 c. cooked rice
1 lb. ground meat
1 lb. ground sausage
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 clove chopped garlic
Salt and Pepper to taste
Tabasco sauce to taste
pinch of thyme
pinch of sweet basil
1 bunch green onions and tops chopped
1 tbsp. minced parsley
1/2 lb. butter, divided

In one skillet sauté ground meat and sausage in 1/4 lb. butter until brown; set aside. In another skillet sauté onions, bell pepper, celery and seasoning in 1/4 lb. butter. Add other ingredients. In large pan mix meat mixture and onion mixture together; mixing well. Use natural gravy from ground meat and sausage to moisten. Can be made the night before and warm in oven at 350°F for 1 hour.
