GOLD BARS 
1 (9 oz.) yellow cake mix
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. corn syrup
1/4 c. butterscotch baking morsels
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 egg
1 tbsp. water or milk
2 tbsp. flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together. Spread into a greased 8-inch square cake pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool. Cut into bars. Makes 16 (2 inch) bars.
