SEA FOAM 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar

Combine sugar, water, salt and cream of tartar. Cover and boil for 5 minutes, uncover and boil without stirring to firm ball stage. Pour over beaten egg whites slowly, beating constantly. Add vanilla, beat until candy holds shape. Add nuts or coconut as you like. Pour out onto buttered dish and cut into squares.
