GINGERBREAD MUFFINS 
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. butter, cut in tiny pieces
1 egg
1 c. molasses
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. hot water
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg and molasses then add all the dry ingredients which have been sifted together. Pour in hot water and beat until smooth. Bake in muffin tins in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
