4 c. sugar
4 c. egg whites
1 c. white Karo syrup
2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts

Beat egg whites stiff. Mix Karo syrup and water; heat to soft-ball stage. Pour half of this syrup into beaten egg whites slowly. Heat rest of syrup to hard-ball stage and pour slowly into egg whites. Add vanilla and nuts. Have your mixture on low while putting hot syrup into egg whites.
