THE BEST SUGAR COOKIE | |
1 c. butter 2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 c. vegetable oil 1 tsp. vanilla Pinch of salt 5 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cream of tartar Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, oil, vanilla and salt. Combine dry ingredients and add to batter. Dough will be soft. With hands, roll dough into balls a bit smaller then a walnut; roll in granulated sugar and press down with bottom of a glass dipped in sugar or fork. Bake in 350 degree oven 10-12 minutes until lightly browned on edges. Store in airtight container. Yield 10-12 dozen. |
