TACO CASSEROLE 
1 onion, chopped
1/4 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. oil
1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
1 lb. ground beef
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1/3 can water
1 bag Fritos
Chopped lettuce, tomatoes, and onions
Grated cheese

Saute onion and garlic in oil. Add ground beef and brown. Stir in tomato sauce, water, and seasonings. In greased casserole, layer 1/2 meat mixture, 1/2 beans, and layer of corn chips. Repeat, ending with corn chips. Cover and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Uncover and bake another 10 minutes. If desired, top with some shredded cheese a few minutes before done. Serve over lettuce and top with tomatoes, onions, and grated cheese.
