COCOA BROWNIES WITH PEANUT BUTTER CHIP GLAZE | |
1 c. sifted flour 3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 c. butter, room temperature 1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar 3 lg. eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped unsalted roasted peanuts 1 (12 oz.) pkg. peanut butter chips Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pan, 9 x 13 inch metal. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; mix well. Cream butter and sugar together until light. Add eggs, one at a time, beating each in well. Beat in vanilla extract. Stir in dry ingredients just to mix. Fold in 1/2 cup of the nuts. Spray or lightly grease pan and spread batter evenly. Bake in center of the oven about 30 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted 1/2 inch from center comes out barely moist. Remove to cooling rack. Sprinkle with peanut butter chips. In 5 minutes, spread melted chips. Sprinkle on remaining nuts. Cool completely. |
