SWEDISH MEATBALLS FOR A CROWD
We used to have a large family and I made this for years, for all kinds of parties. Everyone loved the meatballs either as an entree or hors d'oeuvres.

1 cup onions, diced
4 lb. ground beef
1 1/2 lb. ground pork
2 cups white bread crumbs
4 beaten eggs
2 tbsp. sugar (important)
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. allspice
2 cups milk

Fry onions in butter and set aside. Mix ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs and eggs. Then add onions and the remainder of the ingredients. Form into small balls and fry in butter for one hour. If making smaller balls, would take about half an hour. Watch and do not burn.

Makes enough meatballs for 20 people.
