SOUR CREAM FROSTING 
1 egg white
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1 lb. 10X sugar
3-4 tsp. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. soft butter

Beat egg white and cream of tartar until stiff. Blend in 1/4 of sugar. Alternately add remaining sugar and sour cream, beating until smooth after each addition. Add vanilla and butter.

VARIATIONS:

1. Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts.

2. Add 1 cup toasted coconut.

3. Add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon allspice.
