SHRIMP GUMBO 
8 slices bacon
1 (1 lb.) bag frozen okra
1 onion, chopped
1 lg. bell pepper, chopped
1/3 c. parsley flakes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (12 oz.) can V-8 Juice
4-5 c. water
1-2 lb. shrimp
1 c. cubed ham
Few drops Tabasco sauce
1/2 c. catsup

Fry bacon and remove from grease. Add okra, onion, and bell pepper to bacon grease. Saute 5-10 minutes. Add about 1/2 cup of water and cook another 10 minutes. Add parsley flakes, tomato sauce, V-8 Juice, and 4 1/2 cups of water. Add crumbled bacon. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an hour. Add shrimp last 15-20 minutes.

Serve over rice.
