1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. cold coffee with 1 tsp. baking soda in it
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. raisins
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 c. nut meats

Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees.
