1 c. corn starch 2 c. (1 lb.) baking soda 1 1/2 c. cold water In medium saucepan, stir together cornstarch and baking soda. Add water all at once and stir until smooth, stirring constantly, cook over medium heat until like slightly dry mashed potatoes (first mixture will boil, thicken in lumps, then form thick mass). Turn onto plate, cover with damp cloth and cool. When cool enough to handle, knead on cornstarch dusted surface until smooth and pliable. Store in airtight container in cool place. |
