FRENCH GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE | |
1 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. grated onion 1 c. sour cream 2 cans French cut green beans 1/2 lb. grated Swiss cheese 1/2 c. crushed corn flakes or bread crumbs 2 tbsp. melted butter Melt butter, add sugar, flour, salt, pepper, onions and add sour cream gradually and stir constantly until thick. Fold in green beans (drained) and heat through. Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole, cover with Swiss cheese and corn flakes mixed with melted butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Serves 6 to 8. |
