FRENCH GREEN BEANS 
1 lb. green beans
2 tbsp. chopped fresh dill, optional
1/2 c. chicken broth, optional
Freshly ground black pepper

Wash and trim off the ends of green beans. Bring 3 qt. of water to a boil. Add beans to boiling water. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 minutes depending on the age of the beans) until al dente.

Drain beans. Toss green beans in colander with black pepper and dill. Add chicken broth and serve immediately. Variations: Add mushrooms, red pepper and onions.

Makes 6 servings. Serving size 1/2 cup. Exchanges per serving 1 veg.
