HONEY OATMEAL BISCUITS 
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 cup shortening
1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Stir thoroughly the flour, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cut in shortening till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats. Combine egg, milk, and honey; add all at once to dry mixture. Stir just till moistened.

Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 8-10 minutes.

Makes about 1 dozen.
