HAM AND BROCCOLI BAKE
10 oz. pkg. frozen, chopped broccoli
12 slices white bread, crusts removed
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
2 c. (8 oz.) cooked, diced ham
2 tsp. finely chopped onion
6 eggs, slightly beaten
3 1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. mustard

Grease 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Partially cook broccoli; drain. Cut each slice of bread with a doughnut cutter (hole in center). Fit the left over bread scraps into greased baking dish. Layer cheese, broccoli, and ham over bread scraps. Sprinkle with onion.

Arrange "bread doughnuts" on top. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over bread. Cover. Refrigerate at least 6 hours. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 1 hour Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. Cut so each serving has a "doughnut" on it. 12 servings.

I take this to church dinners and it is well received. I found this recipe in a Pillsbury Cookbook of Family Favorites several years ago.
