POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
5 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. coconut flavor
1 tsp. rum flavoring

FILLING:

1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water

Cream 3 cups sugar, 2 sticks butter and add 1/2 cup Crisco and cream. Add 5 eggs, one at a time, beat 1 minute after each egg. Add 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup at a time. Beat 1 minute. Add 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring and 1 teaspoon rum flavoring. Add 2 cups plain flour and beat well. Add 1 cup flour with 1 teaspoon baking powder. Cream. Bake in tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

FILLING: Boil sugar, water and almond flavoring for 1 minute. Pour over cake while still in the pan.
