SWEET POTATO PECAN PIE | |
1 1/2 c. mashed sweet potatoes 1 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. salt Dash mace 3 eggs, well beaten 1 1/2 c. scalded milk 1/4 c. butter 3/4 c. chopped pecans Pastry for 9" pie 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Line 9 inch pie plate with pastry. 3. In mixing bowl, combine potatoes, 1/2 cup of the sugar, cinnamon, salt and mace. Add eggs; mix well. Stir in milk. 4. Pour into pastry-lined plate. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. 5. Combine remaining sugar, butter and pecans; mix well. Sprinkle over partially cooked pie. Bake for bout 25 minutes longer or until set. |
