FRENCH CABBAGE 
1 head cabbage
1 onion, chopped
3 to 4 buttons garlic, chopped
1 c. Half and Half
1/2 c. bread crumbs
3/4 c. chopped celery
1 1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 to 2 tbsp. butter
1 c. grated cheese
Salt and pepper to taste

Quarter cabbage and cook in small amount of salted water until tender, 5 to 8 minutes. Drain and chop fine. Cook celery, onions, pepper, and garlic in butter, covered, until tender. Add cabbage and stir in Half and Half, cheese, salt and pepper. Mix well. Spoon into 1 1/2 quart baking dish, cover bread crumbs and dot with butter. Bake 300 for 30 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
