REIGN SMOTHERED PORK CHOPS
4 center cut pork chops (1 inch thick)
2 teaspoons seasoning salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup flour
1/3 vegetable oil
2 onions, sliced

Season pork chops with seasoning salt and pepper, coat completely with flour.

Heat oil in a heavy skillet. Add pork chops and brown on each side (about 3 minutes per side).

Remove and set aside. Add sliced onions to the pan drippings and cook for 1 minute. Add remaining flour. Continue to stir until onions and flour begin to brown.

Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil, stir until incorporated and return pork chops to the gravy. Cover skillet, reduce heat and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes until gravy is thick and pork chops are tender.

Making this up right now! Mashed Potatoes is a must for Pork Chops in my opinion, this gravy will go nicely with them. :D Thanks for the easy recipe! Also making Turkey stove-top stuffing, it's kind of like Thanksgiving all over again!

My husband is a very happy man tonight. Thanks! It was wonderful... He now wants me to try making it again with chicken and any other kind of meat. This has been added to my cookbook.

I love this recipe and make it at least once every two weeks. The only thing I changed was to fry 3 strips of bacon, reserve, then use the grease instead of vegetable oil. I then chop the bacon and add it to the onions when cooking. Very good.

Really loved it, did it exactly the way u said. goes great with bread. Try taking a slice of bread and then put the port chop and a lot of gravy on top. It's lovely when the bread soaks the grave and the pork is of course yummy.

Thanks Carmen and Susan
