CRACKED PEPPER STEAKS | |
1 (8-12 oz.) rib-eye steaks, 1 1/2 inches thick 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. chopped green onions 1/4 c. butter, melted 1 tsp. cracked black pepper Sprinkle both sides of meat with garlic powder and salt. Saute green onions in butter in a large skillet until crisp tender. Remove onions. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon pepper in the skillet. Add steaks and cook over medium heat for 7-9 minutes. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 teaspoon pepper over top of steaks. Turn steaks and continue cooking for another 7-9 minutes or until steak reaches desired degree of doneness. Remove steaks to serving platter, sprinkle with onions and serve. |
