FRIED PIE CRUST 
Makes 12 (6 inch) fried pies.

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk
1 tbsp. sugar
1 egg

Mix dry ingredients; cut in shortening. Mix egg and milk together. Pour over dry ingredients. Stir together to make a soft dough. Good for any pies with a lot of liquid. Pinch off dough size of walnut. Roll in circle. Put 1 tablespoon fruit. Fold over and fry in deep fat. Cook dried fruit down very thick before putting on dough circles. Can use canned pie filling - cherry, peach or whatever.
