GUMDROP ROUNDS 
1 c. butter, room temperature
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. rolled oats
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. cut up colored gum drops

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. (175 degrees C.). In a large bowl, beat together butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, beating until well blended. Stir in oats, walnuts and gum drops.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 1 1/2 inches apart, on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden. Remove cookies from baking sheets, cool on racks. Makes 60 to 65 (1 3/4 inch) cookies.
