CARROT RELISH 
2 med. heads cabbage
8 green peppers
12 carrots
12 onions
1/3 c. salt
6 c. sugar
3 pt. vinegar
2 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. mustard seed

Put vegetables through grinder. Add 1/3 cup salt. Let stand 3 hours. Drain for 1 hour. Heat sugar, vinegar, celery seed and mustard seed. Stir until dissolved. Let cool thoroughly and pour over vegetables. Seal in jars cold.
