FLAT BREAD 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. hot water
1 1/2 c. rye flour
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
2 to 2 1/2 c. white flour

Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. In large bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, 1 1/2 cup hot water. Cool to lukewarm. Blend in yeast mixture. Gradually stir in flour. Knead until smooth. Place in greased bowl. Cover with damp cloth. Allow to rise 1 hour. Punch down. Shape into 2 round loaves.

Place on greased baking sheet. Flatten to about 1 1/2 inches. Allow to rise for 1 hour. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Brush loaves with melted butter.
